Maleshini is a B.Comm Honours graduate who has extensive financial and auditing experience of 12 years.

In her consulting role, Maleshini has primarily worked in the public sector. She has been involved in various consulting projects at an executive level, namely:

  • Acting Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for Energy and Water Sector Education and Training Authority (EWSETA)
  • Acting Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for Council on Higher Education (CHE)
  • Acting Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for the Financial Intelligence Centre (FIC)
  • Financial Manager for Johannesburg Development Agency (JDA)
  • Acting Head of Finance (Sub-Sahara Africa) for Astrazeneca Pharmaceuticals Ltd
  • Country SOX Manager for ABB Power Technology South Africa (Pty) Ltd

    Maleshini was previously contracted as Country SOX Manager for ABB Power Technologies, and permanently employed by KPMG. 
    Whilst at KPMG, Maleshini was involved in the following areas:

  • Regulatory audits
  • Internal audits
  • Risk management
  • Sarbanes Oxley compliance reviews

    Maleshini’s experience spreads across private and public sector experience. Maleshini was an independent audit committee member for the following entities:

  • Competition Commission
  • Competition Tribunal

     

    Krishna is a South African Chartered Accountant and has extensive financial experience of 15 years.

    In a commercial environment, Krishna was a senior executive serving as the Chief Financial Officer of SuperSport International (Pty) Ltd and has been part of the Multichoice SA Group for the past 5.5 years.

    In addition to the operational financial management of SuperSport and strategic financial guidance to the senior executive team, Krishna has been a non-executive director of Natal Sharks (Pty) Ltd, Free State Cheetahs (Pty) Ltd, KZN Dolphins (Pty) Ltd, Titans Cricket (Pty) Ltd, Eastern Titans (Pty) Ltd and SuperSport United FC (Pty) Ltd.

    Prior to the Multichoice SA Group, Krishna was a senior manager at KPMG and was involved in various consulting projects at executive level, including amongst others:
  • Acting as a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) in an outsourced function for CIPRO (now CIPC)
  • Development of a cash flow management policy and model for Services SETA
  • Development of a cost recovery system for the Department of Environmental Affairs and Tourism
  • Accounting support and advice to Blue IQ Investment Holdings
  • Business Process Analysis at the DTI
  • Options analysis for the National Department of Agriculture

    Krishna's public sector experience includes 5 years at the Auditor-General, where he was involved in the statutory audit of various National and Provincial Departments, Municipalities, Statutory Bodies and Public Entities. Krishna previously chaired the audit committee  of the Johannesburg Social Housing Company (SOC) Ltd and is currently involved in the municipal sphere of government through the following committees:

  • Independent Audit Committee member – Johannesburg Development Agency (Municipal Entity)
  • Independent Audit Committee member – Johannesburg City Parks (Municipal Entity)
